Company Name Suggestions

Finding the right company name can seem like a daunting task. More than likely, you'll have run a number of variations around your head and still come back with zilch!

So where do you find company name suggestions that are not only relevant, but will label your business with the best possible name? Well, you could pay for a specialised firm to supply you with company name suggestions, but this could be costly and not necessarily rewarding.

You could just use the core name of what your business is about (though this will probably be boring and unmemorable) or, with a bit of hard work and imagination on your part, you could find the perfect company name yourself (and save yourself a few dollars into the bargain).

Company Name Suggestions

There are a number of ways of getting your initial ideas, but nowhere better than the internet. I will show you how I personally get the best list of words, that will eventually translate into the ultimate company name. Google has it's very own free tool for searching keywords by popularity (and remember, what people search for most, is what you want a slice of). Type "keyword selector tool" into the Google Search box and follow the instructions on the site. It will ask you to put a keyword in the box. Now, as an example, if your company deals in dog training, you would enter those keywords. This would then formulate a list in descending order, of the most popular searched for words/phrases for that term. At this point you may be surprised to find related keywords that you hadn't thought of previously.

Copy and paste all the keywords that catch your eye into a text document and call this your "company name suggestion journal". Now you have a list of base keywords with which to work, you will need to add some more words to your list. Depending on the nature of your business and the type of name you are looking for, will determine the next lot of content that you add. If for example, your business is lighthearted in nature, then a comic spin is always a winner. People like names that are humorous, and they will remember them easily (this should be the most important point when choosing a company name).

Why Do People Prefer Brand Name Products?

When given people are given the choice to buy a brand name product or a lower priced "no-name"/generic product, they often prefer brand name products. They are not very concerned about how much they spend for Nike sportswear, Poma Shoes and Oshkosh children's clothing. But when it comes to cheaper no-name products they look down upon them and consider them unusable. So many generic products end up on the clearance or reduction shelves. Why do people think brand names are so much better than generic? Are they really better? Perhaps we have been tricked into believing that generic or cheaper products are unworthy?

More than a hundred years ago, businesses started the idea of branding products so that people would find it easier to know the difference between premium manufactured products and the products which are cheaper and less known.

Manufacturers of the late 1800's, created packaging, labels and advertising so that customers would easily recognize and find their favourite products on the store shelves. This identical branding method continues to be used to allow people all over the world to easily identify the superior quality products of America over less trustworthy products on the marketplace.

Why Do People Prefer Brand Name Products?

Traditionally, the USA is recognized for their high quality brand name products which enable them to have the power to charge higher prices. People worldwide know just what they are receiving when they buy from the US.

It is standard for product brands to be reliable and high in value. When a customer trusts a brand name product they will most likely purchase the product/service repeatedly. Therefore, repeat customers raise the profits of brand products much more than generic brands.

When a customer chooses a product, their memory is triggered and they remember a television commercial they saw, or a jingle they heard on the radio or the big sign they see while driving home from work every day. This makes them familiar with the product more than inexpensive products. Even if you are not in a store, some of the jingles you have heard get stuck in your head and you find yourself singing or humming them.

Does branding a product work with internet sales? Branding a web site is more essential than the branding of separate products. Studies reveal that online buyers look more for sites that they can trust and sell what they want at lower prices than the actual brands that are for sale. Therefore, web sites which sell products need to take extra time to advertise their website more than the product itself.

The purpose of most advertising methods is to learn about what customers are searching for and make it available to them. In conventional retail stores, superior qualities branded products are very important. At the same time, people who buy products on the internet are looking for better than ever quality web sites.

General Advantages and Disadvantages of Wide Area Network

Internet was never possible without the invention of intelligent switches, satellites, fibre optic cables and LAN cards. Those who find it difficult to get idea of wide area network, internet is one live example of it. Before we look into Wide Area Network (WAN), we must have an understanding of what is Local Area Network (LAN).

Local Area Network, as the name suggests, is a network built in a limited area by using LAN cables, switches and LAN cards. One example is a network of a university or a business office at one location. The computers on a Local Area Network are connected to a network switch. You can either make this network a workgroup (share limited resources) or domain (share all kind of resources and services). On domain, you have the privilege to grant permissions to users to share resources or limit them to use certain services. As LAN can only work within a certain distance, we need WAN to connect institutions and offices at different locations.

WAN connects two or more LANs, and this is possible with the use of devices like routers. There are many ways to build a Wide area network. You can either lay down your own cables between two or more locations or you can use leased lines. Most companies use leased lines as very limited companies can bear the cost of thousands pounds for it.

General Advantages and Disadvantages of Wide Area Network

The businesses and institutions get leased lines from different service providers and pay them on monthly basis. Today, many companies are establishing Virtual Private Network (VAN) by using leased lines. A VAN can be established by buying Live IPs from the service provider, at two or more different locations. To secure this network, the Network Administrator uses routers and firewalls to secure the network.

On WAN, the users at different locations are connected to a central server. The name of this computer is server because it is there to serve all the computers on the network. All the computers on the network are connected to central database on the server. These computers save data at real time, send queries to server and fetch reports at the same time. The banking system is a very good example of a WAN network.

The benefits of a Wide area network are unlimited. You sit in one country, and the office in the other country is just like a room next door. You can share documents, reports, prints, query databases, search through thousands of records in just quick seconds, monitor distant location offices by using digital cameras and do much more. The advantages of a Wide area network are infinite; it is up to you what benefits you want to get using this technology; the sophistication obviously increases with the cost factor.

With many advantages of Wide area network, there are also some disadvantages associated, which though can be addressed by using latest technologies. On WAN, the security is a big factor. When you connect on the internet using Live IPs, anyone can intrude in and hack your system. For this purpose, firewalls and routers securities are implemented, which definitely come with on the expense of thousands pounds. The latency period on WAN is high, but it can also be addressed by taking high speed internet connections. To establish a Wide Area Network, the businesses and institutions need a lot of money, as technologies that make your network secure as well as serve your needs are very costly.

Find Name by Phone Number - How to Find a Person by Their Phone Number

If all you have is a phone number and you want to find out more about the owner - whether it's your date who has given you "her" number, some old school friend or someone you don't even know who is bothering you for some days - there are two ways to get the information you are searching for:

1) You can try to find some information on the internet by yourself. There are databases full of public information online. So you may not have any problems finding some information on someone's landscape number. But normally, your search will take a lot of time and in most cases it will be disappointing as many phone numbers simply are not listed. Besides, cell phone numbers are not listed in online phone directories at all! They are not maintained publicly. That's the reason why you won't find them on Yellow Pages.

2) You use the reverse phone detective. Using this online service you will find out more about the owner of a cell phone number in seconds. The big advantage here is: In addition to the name and address you will get information regarding the marital-, family- and financial status of the concerning person as long as the criminal record and the property it owns. There is a one-time fee, but it's worth it as it will save you plenty of time and money down the line. The thing is: there are some free services that allow you to find out more on someone's land line, but that's not the case for cell phone numbers. You won't be able to find the owner of a cell phone without paying a small fee.
